My stylist was running behind. I waited 50 minutes to be seen. The staff didn't seem bothered at all as if this happens frequently. I wasn't even offered a drink. My actual appointnebt was supposed to be 50 minutes but it was wrapped up in 20. I was very polite but it's safe to say that I wont be going back.
Definitely won't be going back. I really didn't want to give a negative review. I'm not even the type to give reviews, i generally have better things to do with my life but i was so disappointed with my cut and shocked by the positive reviews, i felt i had to.
I arrived 15 minutes early to my appointment, there was no-one on the reception as the salon was busy. I told the closest stylist i'd arrived for my appointment and i was told to sit in the waiting area.
After the first 20 minutes i found the receptionist and told her that i'd been here and wasn't sure if they'd checked me in. Waited 40 minutes after my appointment time to be seen, people who arrived after we're seen on time and before me. Easy mistake in a busy salon so thought i'd let it go and it would only go up from here...i was wrong.
Firstly i was taken straight to a wash, not sure if that's normal but everywhere else i've gone the stylist see's your hair dry before hand so they can actually have an idea of what your hair looks like.
I was never offered a drink or anything, yet everyone around me was offered popcorn and a glass of sparkling.
I only came in for a trim, some layers and shaping around my face - not a complicated cut! Firstly, i wasn't asked how i part my hair, i do part in the middle so wasn't too drastic. However the stylist didn't part my hair straight it was slightly lopsided. So much so that once he dried and finally re-parted my hair he noticed it wasn't even...shock!! He then spent about 5 mins trying to correct this...still not convinced it is, i'll see once i wash and style myself.
He then didn't cut any shape or layers into my hair as i initially requested. When he came to shape the front - felt so badly done and also pretty sure it's not even. The scissors felt blunt and was tugging as he was feathering off the front of my hair, rather than the usual gliding feeling.
I wasn't ever asked how i wanted my hair styled or dried. He dried it off straight with a roll brush before he finished the cutting. Was never shown the back of my hair to check the cut and length. 2 days later I had to go to another salon and get the haircut rectified.
