really friendly really great experience with haircut and conditioning treatment and of course really great price. i wouldnt say super luxurious as is quite a small salon but definitely what i needed !
So this is not a 'my hair is now orange' or 'I'm bald!' sort of bad review. This is a regular, run-of-the-mill bad review. To start from the beginning, the woman shampooing my hair was wearing rubber gloves the whole time. She didn't ask if I have skin allergies (I do), or if the rubber was tearing at my hair (it was). I can't imagine that this is a health and safety feature, as in my 25 years I've never had someone wear gloves whilst shampooing my hair before. The 'deep conditioning mask' which I paid extra for is the exact same deep conditioner I have at home - it's cheap and readily available on Amazon. I asked for a fairly basic cut and the stylist happily ignored me. I could've achieved similar, if not superior results by lopping an inch off the bottom of my hair with kitchen scissors. The blow-out was truly subpar - it is difficult to make my hair look flat, but this woman managed it. I can honestly say that it looks better when it's air-dried after a shower. The best thing I can say about this place is that it's not visibly dirty. Bottom line: overpriced; I wouldn't go back and I wouldn't recommend to a friend.
I really liked my Stylist, very cool guy. We've discussed my expectations regarding the Color and cut, I got a glass of wine and had myself treated nicely. After the mask my hair was super smooth and shiny. The haircut and Color reached my expectations. I was really excited about the bouncy hairstyle I left with, the best blow dry in my life! The Salon itself is not as "fancy" as it seemed from the Website, but it has great atmosphere.
The actual blowdry and straightening process was fine but the stylist looking after me said the treatment they used was a new formula that could be washed out in a matter of hours. Then overheard another stylist recommending to their customer to leave it for three days as per the standard practice. Had I not had many Brazilian blowdries before I would be very confused but and I am unimpressed as had I followed his advice I would have ruined the expensive treatment.
Emile was recommended to me by my sister who has very stylishly cut hair. Within minutes of sitting in the chair he had assessed my hair and recommended a suitable style based on what I said I was seeking. The end result was well cut hair and the perfect blowdry. I will return for cuts and blowdrying in future and I will also entrust Emile with some coloring I want to get done.
