My hairdresser Yiannis was lovely and did a great job with my hair. I have received a lot of compliments for the hair so far.
My grouse would be with the ambience in general. The sink had stray strands from the previous wash, the interior felt a bit tired and heavy. There was a keratin treatment happening behind me. The lady receiving the treatment and the gentleman providing it both wore masks but were in reasonably close proximity to the rest of us who dint. I did not want to breathe the fumes but did not have choice.
I booked a wash, cut and blow dry for medium length hair as per the length classifications featured on the salon’s Treatwell page however once sat in the chair I was informed that my hair was in fact “long” and that I needed to pay an additional £4. I pulled up the Treatwell description of lengths on my phone and they decided to let it go, not before telling me that it was “common sense” to class my hair as long which was both insulting and embarrassing in front of all of the other clients, even though they admitted that they often had this problem. The guy actually doing my hair was friendly so I will give credit where it is due but this awkward exchange over £4 with the manager at the beginning of my visit made me feel uncomfortable for the duration.
