Ockenden Manor Hotel & Spa part of Historic Sussex Hotels

Ockenden Manor Spa, a harmonious blend of modern design and nature's inspiration.

Exceptional facilities in a unique environment. The South's newest and most utopian spa, fed by its own underground spring.

Nestling in the warm green of the West Sussex countryside, Ockenden Manor Spa has been designed to create a haven from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Purpose-built inside a 19th century walled garden, the contemporary airy structure contrasts and complements its neighbour, the Elizabethan Ockenden Manor, and shares it nine acres of parklands and gardens.

For the first time Historic Sussex Hotels have been included in the London Stock Exchanges landmark 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain report. What does this mean? It is a report produced annually to showcase the UKs most inspiring and fast growing small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). To be selected for the list, businesses must demonstrate positive growth in revenue over the last four years and also significantly outperform their sector peers. The list, of 1000 companies, includes only two other hotels. Historic Sussex Hotels is one of only 148 companies on the list from the South East.

Great value for our over night stay. Use of spa facilities from 11.30 until 4pm the next day. Superb spa facilities. Staff friendly and helpful.
Hotel clean and quirky with wonderful bedroom. Ours was Master bedroom. All oak panels and uneven floors great fun. Comfortable bed and dream making pillows.
Bar not very welcoming and drinks VERY expensive.
Dinning room lovely food superb staff excellent . Again wine starting at £38 and ending in hundreds of pounds! However we did have a bottle of Upperton pink sparkling wine @ £55 which was really good.
If we see this offered at a good rate we will certainly go back. Di and Bren

Took my daughter for her 30th birthday which I had emailed them about, but disappointed that no recognition was made of this, not even a welcome happy birthday. Luckily the weather was warm and sunny so made the most of the outdoor facilities. Drinks very expensive. Shame no twinned bedded rooms. Lovely evening meal and breakfast. Staff very friendly. Treatments very overpriced. Overall came away feeling very refreshed.

An amazing luxurious experience. Only wish I'd taken suncream as there are outdoor loungers by the outdoor pool with no shade.

Really good, lovely place, lovely food and the spa was excellent particularly the rainforest shower. One quibble - in paid for backage a glass of wine was meant to be served with the meal. It wasn't and I'd forgotten that it was part of the package - only realising it was after the event. That shopuldn't have happened

A wonderful short spa break for myself and a friend; probably the best we have visited to date. The Manor is beautiful, sympathetic all furnished albeit very comfortable. We were upgraded to a room overlooking the gardens, someone else's garden party in the evening gave us some ideal live music whilst changing for dinner. Food was superb, both in presentation and taste.

The Spa is in the grounds of the hotel, again excellent. It provides excellent facilities, an indoor pool leading through to the outside, clean and a good temperature. Good sized sauna and steam, and a walk through forest shower - lovely. There were two jacuzzis, one with the pool inside and an outdoor on a higher level. Plenty of loungers in differing surroundings with access to freely provided refreshments.

Spa treatments were gorgeous, in calm rooms, soothing and well executed.

Not a cheap visit but one which we thoroughly enjoyed and will definitely do again.

Thank you to all the staff for the part they played in making our stay so good.

The spa was brilliant. Having both indoor and outdoor facilities was so wonderful both on the sunny day and the drizzly day. My only criticism would be that it got a bit too uncomfortably hot in the pool area. The hotel room large and very well appointed. The doors out onto the roof garden were a lovely touch and having your own nespresso machine was great too. The dinner was magnificent. Too much food! We definitely fell into a food coma and slept very well.

The treatments, although very good, were very expensive. Even with the £25 off. I would normally go for 2 treatments on such an occasion but even 1 was breaking the budget a little
