About

NutraKarma
Holistic Health Clinic

Hello, my name is Carlotta.

I founded Nutrakarma and I started my holistic journey in Italy, where, in 2005, my curiosity brought me to start learning about healing, herbal remedies and naturopathy. In those 3 years, I learnt that the body is a fantastic machine that can heal itself naturally by feeding itself good food and good thoughts. Whilst I was studying I had the opportunity to work as a naturopath in a well known herbal shop in Rome and met some admired practitioners, one, in particular, caught my interest who was specialising in Ayurveda, the ancient Indian medicine.

I decided to pursue my interest and professional aspiration and travel to India to study Ayurveda. When I came back, I realised that Ayurveda on its own wasn’t enough for me, nor was it enough to resolve all of my client’s needs at Nutrakarma.

I wanted to know more about how our emotional state can affect the body, so I decided to learn systematic kinesiology in London. It is a wonderful technique that uses the action of muscle testing to discover the real cause of your digestive problem or the underlying cause of a particular health issue.

I trained in Italy, India and England. I completely understand the importance of healthy eating and maintaining a functional digestive system, but I also understand that life gets in the way and this can have a MASSIVE impact on how we feel.

I love to help people who are struggling with digestive problems such as bloating, constipation and candida because I know how awful they can make you feel and how a few simple adjustments can make a massive difference to how you are feeling.

For half of my life, I suffered from candida and bloating. I cannot remember a day I didn’t struggle with it. It was part of me, it was “normal” and I thought I was going to live with it all my life with no way out.

At the age of 17, I went to South America to visit my relatives and I had the opportunity to meet a very famous naturopath based in Paraguay, who told me that if I didn’t change my unhealthy diet, I was going to get ill. I followed a plant-based diet he gave me, and I was so overwhelmed by how my symptoms improved so much in such a short time.

Finally, at the age of 19, I made a personal decision to take a huge step in my life and I became a vegan. I did this for various reasons, but to my delight, following a plant-based diet resolved my bloating problems, and above all, my candida problem. If you have the knowledge of understanding of the plant-based diet and the benefits that it can have, great! You are one step nearer to a new beginning. If you have had no experience with plant-based diets, and are used to eating the same way as you have since you were a child, do not be put off when you read about vegan or plant-based diets. The introduction and elements of a plant-based diet is crucial to resolving your digestive issues.

I have always treated my body like a resource of information, experimenting what certain foods and emotions can affect our overall health. In a perfect world, it would be great just to have one diet plan that suits everybody. However, this is not a perfect world and that’s why Nutrakarma offers tailor-made nutritional plans to help release those unwanted digestive problems.

Today, I am a digestive health practitioner with expertise in digestive remedies, combining Ayurveda, Kinesiology and Nutritional therapy. Nutrakarma also has its own supplement range enabling you to purchase high-quality supplements to work alongside any nutritional plans or just by themselves.

Please do get in touch with any queries and questions, I am here to help.
