I am a regular at Nuad Thai in Northwood Hills and some of the other branches. 90% of the time I am very satisfied, however last week I was extremely disappointed with the service.
On Monday 12th March, I called to book a 60 minute massage with Nana, who I know has just come back from maternity leave and I was told she only works 1 or 2 days a week so I have to book her in advance from Monday. I was told to come in on Friday 16th March at 7pm, and if anything changes with her availability, the receptionist assured me I will get a phonecall on the Friday morning informing me. I specified her that I have waited a long time to get an appointment with Nana, I really like her massage style and specifically would like her to do my massage only.
On Friday, I went to my appointment at 7pm and the receptionist announces to me that Nana isn’t there, she’s actually at the Ruislip branch. This was, to be honest, quite infuriating, because I could have easily booked her at Ruislip instead, if only I was called in advance to be informed that Nana was there instead. A whole week had passed since I booked my appointment, why was my request completely ignored? This was such a let down, and ruined the whole massage experience for me. I asked if she could still take me if I quickly drove to Ruislip, but she said she was fully booked. I proceeded to get a massage done by someone else, which was fine, but I should still have been offered some sort of compensation for this inconvenience and stress, as the result of the misinformation and disorganised booking system has left me with a very bad impression of Nuad Thai.
I had a very sore back. The therapist asked me what sort of pressure I wanted and throughout the massage asked if I was alright . Very good massage and nice ambiance too.
