When I first arrived we were politely greeted and asked to sit down and wait for the hairdresser. We were reassured that it wouldn't be long. As it was my first time with my hair being dyed I expected perhaps some form of patch test to make sure there weren't allergies or that there was any reason it wasn't appropriate. This didn't happen.
Then, I started my treatment, although the stylist was lovey she didn't seem to quite understand what I wanted. So we showed her a picture and she said "quite natural we will use a mix of these [dark red] colours." This all sounded fine and I looked at the colours and they were dark enough to be subtle.
She started with the bleaching, however she bleached all the way up my head almost to the roots which resulted in a bad dye look. Then she started dying my hair. This series I would consider to be a butchering of my hair.
She dyed my hair fluorescent red. I looked like Ronald McDonald, there was nothing subtle or natural about my hair. And because she had dyed it essentially 1 inch from my Roots it looked like the worst dye job in the world. I wanted to cry! Other customers were looking at my head like what on earth!
I told the stylist that I was far far far too bright too red and it appropriate at all. She was very polite about it but said I would have to wait two weeks to add toner. I was mortified two weeks looking like Ronald McDonald!
I paid for my haircut and went outside its red was even worse in the light of day immediately I turned around and went back into the salon and spoke to the management. I needed them to do something it was awful! Then they spoke to me like I was lying and tried to fob me off. This didn't go well. They proceeded to tell me that my appointment was over and did I even get my hair done there! Eventually they agreed to dull it a little and my very nice and friendly stylist genuinely did try her best to get it to a liveable colour.
It wasn't baylage it was more like a bad ombré. It is safe to say I wouldn't be going back and I wouldn't be dying my hair ever in the future!
I had a shellac mani at this venue and overall it was alright, but i didn't quite like the way manicure tools were sterilized (by spray) and the quality of the manicure itself - had to redo it myself after less than a week. The polish was applied very well though and is still almost fully on after 2 weeks.
