I've had a shellac mani in this salon. I'll start with the positives, which are a big choice of colours and my coating looking neat after a couple of weeks. Unfortunately the negatives outweigh. To start with, they have damaged my skin while removing my previous coating and I started to beed. The guy simply took out a tissue and started patting my wound. I should have left at that point really. The staff were using metal tools on me that have been already used on other customers. When I went to wash my hands, I saw a tray of those standing idly right next to the sink and getting water splashes on them. I guess this is how they 'clean' them. When applying the nail coat and going beyond the nail border, the girl (they have swapped mid way) wasn't using a stick but her own fingernail to correct it (which was also hurting me). I also asked not to soak my hands as I prefer dry manicure and not to cut my cuticle, but apparently it meant no cuticle work at all. When I raised this with the staff at the end and tried to explain that I expected my cuticle to be treated with a remover and pushed back, they said I didn't want soaking and couldn't understand what I was asking for. The staff had very poor English which made it very hard to communicate. I'll never use this salon again.
The Shellac manicure was nicely done and stayed for almost 2 weeks despite doing a lot of swimming and activities on holiday. The colour didnt fade and they stayed shiny. Good selection of colour. The only thing is there were bubbles on some of them so it wasnt entirely smooth, which I only noticed when I got home so I couldnt be bothered to go back and get it redone. Overall, im still happy woth the maicure
I had a french shellac manicure and pedicure. My nails looked great and lasted for just over two weeks but while doing my pedi, the lady wasn't careful at all and burst my blister very badly.... Not only did it hurt a lot with the alcohol she was using, but it was my wedding pedicure also so I had to deal with a really sore little toe wearing pumps... What is more, nobody compensated me with anything and even said it`s my fault I have a blister..... Haha!.. Strange experience... If I ever do go back, I`d watch closely what they are doing and prevent as much damage as I can!....
Great experience, they do fab natural looking nails :) they are still going strong and I've had them on for 3 weeks now. Would recommend, friendly staff.
Great
