I was bought a "luxury" manicure & Pedicure for my birthday by my daughter who has little money but wanted to surprise me with something special. I was so excited to recieve my gift voucher and i duly arrived at 12 oclock for my bit of luxury.
Well when i arrived it was a bit like "oh heres the next one" I didn't feel special at all. I was plonked in the seat the nail technician obviously didn't want to be there (heard later she is leaving) my manicure was a bit rushed and rough on the hands but I thought hey they do this every day so who am I to complain? Whilst my nails were drying i was taken to the luxury back area for my pedicure!! What a joke this was a gap at the side of the shop I was told to sit plonk my feet in a bowl of water (not sure if it was fresh) then given a bottle of warm water Yuk.
Again the technician was very rough and rushed she didn't want to chat and I was feeling very uncomfortable sitting on the hard plastic chair. Whilst having the pedicure done I noticed my nails were smeary the technician said it was dust form the store so plonked more polish on top.
I sat in nails inc for 2 hours after which time thet girl checked my nails and told me it was ok for me to leave.
Soon after I left the shop I saw that my nails were smudged so I went back to the store I explained that I hadn't got far or touched anyhting and that also I felt that my toe nails were sticky on examination the whole of my nails had most of the polish off.
Now you would think that they would be so apologetic but no they were like come back tomorrow.
My birhtday eve was ruined and more so as I found out that my daudghter (a student) had paid £75.00. The area manager was rude and refused a refund so now I am writing to head office having taken advise from trading standards. I would say think before you part with hard earned cash,
