I've been getting my nails done for over 10 years in various nail salons and this is by far the worst experience I have ever had. Despite booking and stating clearly I was after removal and new acrylic fill set at the beginning on meeting my nails were removed and only at this point did the staff say they couldn't do acrylics. Instead of being upfront, they lied trying to hid the fact they were understaffed by trying to force me into having gel nails. I did not want these as 1) they are more expensive to up keep 2) I prefer the look of acrylics that I have had for years no problems. But they would not take no for an answer. Other staff were pulled in which made me feel bullied and forced to buy a more expensive product. I told them how uncomfortable this was making me feel and they did not stop or apologise. Their answer was that if I did not like it I could simply walk out with my nails hanging off and go to another salon and pay yet again to get my nails done. Only after saying I would complain did they finally agree to do acrylics. Absolutely no apology for any of this. Simply tried to blame me for being unreasonable for expecting what I had paid for. Also they do not have up to date equipment for acrylics- no fans for nail drying or electric tools for proper, neat filing. The nails themselves have bubbles in the acrylic, something I have never experienced before. I believe this salon simply doesn't have the staff trained to do acrylics properly but still wants to sell this service regardless.
