Jamie Hollick is a new addition to MY Sports Injury Clinic Team graduating with a Masters Degree from Leeds Beckett University in 2017. He is a fully registered practitioner with the general osteopathic council. Jamie's passion for Osteopathy was inspired by his own sports injuries using the human bodies anatomy and physiology to promote recovery, movement health and overall function. Jamie has previous experience working in the busy Queen square wellness Centre, whilst undertaking his Masters degree and additionanly works in easy Yorkshire with his previous university lecturer. He has treated a wide variety of patients and uses specific techniques such as Soft tissue Massage, Muscle energy techniques (MET's, Joint Articulations and Spinal Manipulation to promote repair and healing in the body.
This position has given me the ability to apply physiotherapy in general, including taking anamnesis, determining diagnosis, rehabilitation nursing, massages (classical, reflex, soft tissue techniques), detailed kinesiological analysis, kinesiological and physical examination, detailed neuorological examination, manipulation and mobilization, kinesiotaping, treatments including electro therapy / ultrasound / magnet therapy / shockwave / hydrotherapy etc., rigorous palapation skills, muscle function testing (Vladimir Janda), vestibular rehabilitation therapy, postizometric relaxation
