Overall, I have not had a good experience with this salon. I came in to have extensions fitted on 11th October, which were purchased by Ashley based on a consultation beforehand. The extensions were completely mismatched to my hair colour and not what I was expecting at all. I raised this issue with Ashley less than 24 hours after the appointment, to which she did offer to dye the extensions but at no convenient time to myself, when I work full time hours and stated clearly that I needed them fixing before my holiday this week. She made no effort to provide a practical solution or appointment time for myself. I provided pictures to Ashley to show the extent to which the extensions were poorly matched in colour and was provided with no practical solution. Dying the hair would also damage the extensions, which I know from having previously had extensions before and an experienced or skilled hairdresser would know this. I also made it blatantly clear in both the consultation and at the fitting that I like to have my hair tied up the majority of the time, which I now cannot do with these extensions in because the plastic tab at the top of the extensions is also incredibly blonde against my darker roots, as is the actual hair of the extension, meaning it cannot be covered by my hair (the tapes are also fitted in a way that they cannot be covered with my hair up, which directly goes against what I asked for). This obviously cannot be fixed because the plastic part where tapes are glued together cannot be dyed. Having since been in discussions in order to try to resolve this issue, I have been refused a refund for the hair which I did not ask for colour-wise. I have attempted to go through the necessary complaints steps, such as mediation to find a solution, which has been refused by Ashley. I have offered to return the hair to her as I do not want it, being aware that it is non-returnable to the hair company, however it is not a set of hair that I wanted or expected when I engaged in an implied contract with this salon. Ashley is now refusing to provide me with the receipt from when she bought the hair from the hair extension company, and is refusing to provide me with the name of the hair extension company from which she purchased the hair. To me, this seems very suspicious and makes me concerned that I have been charged incorrectly/overcharged for the hair and this is becoming increasingly clear as Ashley continues to refuse to give me the name of the company from which she purchased my hair extensions. I can think of no other explanation as to why the salon would refuse to even provide the name of the company, if there was nothing to hide. The pictures I have added show the extent to which the extensions do not match my hair colour. I understand that an exact match is difficult, however this is ridiculous. Ashley has also actually said to me after I raised the issue with the hair that what I wanted within the budget I gave her was difficult and not really possible to do. Had I been made aware of this straight away and before the fitting, I could have changed my budget or at least been fully informed to make a decision on whether to go ahead or not. It is also very clear from the pictures that not enough hair has been used. I was told by Ashley that 2 packs should be used when getting my extensions done, however given that she won’t show me her receipt when buying the hair or give me the name of the company for me to check myself, I strongly suspect she only bought one pack and overcharged me for that. Overall, very disappointed with this experience as I was very excited to get my hair done and Ashley had come recommended to me. I am looking into pursuing further action as the situation worsens because I am now down a lot of money for a service that has not been provided with adequate skill. As seen in Ashley’s response, she still fails to provide the name of the hair extension company from which she bought my extensions. I find this incredibly unprofessional and confusing as to why she would be hiding this from me.

Ashley is great, awesome hair dresser who knows what would look great on you and she’s lovely to chat to as you’re getting your hair done. Would recommend to anyone :)
