I booked this treatment on the spur of the moment, giving myself less than an hour to get there from South Birmingham. Nice going, Tintagel! I managed to get there on time, about ten minutes early, and I was seen straight away. My beauty therapist was really lovely and friendly, chatting about Christmas, and if she was engrossed in something requiring attention, like filing a little snag off a nail, the radio was on so we weren't sat there in embarrassed silence.
The manicure was really speedy--she's an absolute whizz with the brush, and she made sure to explain every step of the way what was happening, because newbie that I am I'd never had a shellac manicure before.
The threading was also really quick, and although it was painful (hello first time threader) she gave me good directions on how to pull my skin taut so it would hurt a lot less. She let me check the progress of each eyebrow to make sure I was happy with the direction it was going, and then applied aloe vera and gave me some aftercare tips.
It suffers a little from where it's placed--it doesn't look welcoming from the outside because it's in the middle of an industrial estate--but the one-room shop has my vote for treatments. If I lived closer, I'd be returning within the month for more of her treatments!

Excellent little beauty salon, Tina is very friendly and does a great job with the gel nails, always in & out in around 40 minutes, so perfect to pop in on a lunch break.
