I was told that a balayage would be custom, but it was pretty obvious that there was a standard way of them doing it. What I ended up with wasn't anything like the photo I showed - I just wanted some subtle touches of colour but instead came out with almost a full head of hair a different colour. I trusted the stylist's judgement but I guess I shouldn't have. The haircut was decent. Overall not really worth the money I paid. The salon is really nice itself, the hair products are great, but I'll go elsewhere next time.
