Had a great experience at Michael John Hairdressing - great value for money and very attentive staff. Despite being a training school, the quality of the Stylist work was comparable to a professional and expensive salon. On the plus side, there is teachers / senior staff walking around all the time to make sure all runs smooth. Defo recommended and would go back.

Service and result wasn't awful, but there were some things that could have gone better. I didn't feel completely listened to, stylist didn't seem very thorough and didn't ask questions that I'd expect to be asked and I had to fill in the blanks. I felt the treatment was a little rushed and I had to finish off the colour at home as it wasn't left on long enough and bottles instructions ignored (took colour in, which was applied after they'd bleached) Cut into hairline when cutting fringe too.

The staff were all wearing disposable masks, and stylist were wearing both disposable and a plastic face covering one. They also wore gloves, and had the full PPE equipment on site. My temperature was also checked before I went in. This reassured me it was safe and clean place to go. I did have to queue outside as everyone could only go in one at a time. The stylist are students, so it can take longer than a usual salon. For the price you pay it's great!
