After reading so many good reviews I was excited for my shellac manicure and pedicure but I am more than disappointed with the results. While I will have to wait another week to see how the manicure fairs, the colour is not what I picked at all. “Aqua pink” looked lovely as it was being applied but once the top coat was applied and cured it turned to more of a coffee colour which does not suit me. Not sure what the top coat did but I can see bits of the pink I wanted at the sides where there is no top coat. A bad colour I can get over but the state of my feet, I cannot.
The lady cut down the sides of my big toenails and slowly pulled the skin out, making me cringe and clench my teeth. The next day one toe was red, inflamed, sore and slightly oozing at the sides of the nail, and still yet to fully recover a week later. The other big toe nail was cut too short and is already becoming ingrown.
I usually go to a much cheaper place but thought I would treat myself for my birthday. Don’t bother. Such a disappointment for an expensive place.
Been to this salon a few times but this is the first time the Shellac chipped off after a week. I think there was a problem with the paint, not the application. Returned to the salon but had to wait 40 mins for the effected nails to be fixed with the same paint. These then chipped a couple of days later.
