I was very happy to find Mermaid Island on a week working down in Brighton. The staff were very friendly and professional, and my facial was just the relaxing break I needed during a stressful week.

I was informed on arrival that a trainee would be doing my nails for a discounted price - I had booked a full price treatment and was not pleased to be put on the spot like this. I was not given a choice. My manicure did not meet my expectations: my nails were shortened a lot and filed into different shapes, and the finish was uneven. I was disappointed with the experience as a whole.
