Salon has changed owners/closed down so none of the stylists work there and it's now primarily a men's barber shop. Consequently my appointment didnt happen and Treatwell haven't responded to me about refunding my money and because the salon no longer exists as a business i have no one to complain to there. Terrible experience - Treatwell, you owe me £39

This place is shit down/changing ownership. I went there at the time of my appointment only to be turned away without any assistance. I was told simply there was nothing I could do and I should contact Treatwell

Absolutely terrible service from this salon which has been frustrating and disappointing... the first time I arrived for my appointment booked through Treatwell I was told by the salon’s manager that the nail technician was away. Neither the salon or Treatwell had contacted me to tell me and to rearrange my appointment. Treatwell however was terrific in refunding me with a voucher as an apology, as was the manager very apologetic too, so I rebooked my appointment again this time directly through the salon. I’ve since just walked out of the salon as arriving now for my second appointment I was told the nail technician is off sick - so is she away or is she off sick? Neither the salon nor the nail technician contacted me to cancel this booking when my name and contact telephone is in the appointment book in front of the manager on the desk! Although the manager was apologetic she said the nail technician should have contacted me to cancel. This lack of regard and customer care is for me a reflection on the salon as I’ve booked this appointment through the salon not directly with the nail technician. The salon equally needs to take responsibility for not contacting me, not just the nail technician, to tell me of her absences. I won’t be going back to this salon.

Less than a 10-minute walk from both Fairlop and Barkingside stations in the Gants Hill area of London, May's Studio offers bespoke unisex cutting and colouring alongside a complete menu of professional beauty treatments.

In the hair salon, you'll find express styling, intricate updos and deep conditioning Moroccan Oil and Olaplex treatments. The colour menu includes multi-tonal highlights, glossy full head tints and freehand balayage and ombre techniques.

In the beauty room, you'll find glossy nail treatments with acrylic extensions and natural nail finishes, all the essentials in waxing as well as a selection of relaxing massages. May's also offers one of the most impressive selections of facials in the area with everything from the specialist pore minimising vacuum facial to deep exfoliating microdermabrasion and a collagen boosting ultrasound treatment.

Open 7 days a week, there's limited pay and display parking available on High Street if you're coming by car.
