After a long day at work I popped in for a sunbed and saw a sign offering a deal on a Hot Stone Massage, on entering the salon and asking the lady behind the counter about the offer, Martina came out to speak with me and arrange for me to come in for the massage a few days later. On the day of the massage I arrived a few minutes early and was greeted with smiles and friendly chatter, prior to being led to the beauty room at the rear of the store. The room was filled with the gentle sounds of relaxing music and Martina advised me how to prepare myself for the massage. The massage was amazing, I have not felt so relaxed in a long time and she worked all of the knots out of my shoulders, neck and back, asking through-out if the pressure was okay and if I was comfortable. I cannot recommend this massage or Martina enough, I will certainly be booking again. DO NOT be put off that the treatment room is in the rear of a tanning salon, when Martina works her magic you will completely forget your surroundings.
I had a lovely massage with Martina. She really listened to what I wanted and made me feel at ease. My back feels much looser, thank you!

Love love love the Hot Stone massage at Martina's. Discovered this place when walking down the High Street . Did not realise that beauty treatments were also available in what is a tanning salon.
Martina is extremaly professional and knowledgeable about physiology. I have back and neck problems resulting in constant pain. It's not always easy to find non-sports or rehab massages that are enjoyable as well as effective.
She was brilliant and knew exactly the zones to work on and to avoid. Clean treatment room and good music at the right volume to make you feel you are in your own private spa.
Will definitely be going back for the hot stone as well as many other treatments. Thanks Martina :)
The beautician who did my manicure was extremely friendly and polite and made me feel very welcome. The problem was that she just talked way too much and each time she said something she would stop what she was doing, which added considerable time to the duration of the manicure. I don't feel like my nails were shaped particularly well and there was a lot of excess skin that still needed to be removed from around my nails. Perhaps it was the lighting in the room, as the manicure was done on a massage bed, so perhaps more light in the room would have helped. The nail polish was put on too thickly and just didn't look as professional as I've experienced at other salons. It wasn't the worst manicure I've ever had but it wasn't the best either. I'd probably return if I couldn't get an appointment anywhere else but this wouldn't be my first choice as a nail salon. On the plus side the hand massage was excellent so this salon would probably be better for massages than manicures.

Martina is an excellent therapist. She is not only skilled in massage, she works intuitively and really listens to you and your body to create the right therapy just for you. She has a gift and is a healer.
