Decided to treat myself after breaking my hand and not being able to have my nails done for months.
Was impressed when I first walked in, the girls working seemed to be really chatty, friendly and the customers leaving as I sat down were very happy with their nails. My nails were however done in silence, I wasn’t offered a drink like the others around me and what I thought was efficiency was actually a rushed job at my expense, at one point my thumb started to bleed which I’ve never experienced in a nail appointment; and as the final oil was added to my fingers, I realised 4 of my nailbeds were bleeding and started to sting.
My technician even sighed at one point as she told another worker ‘only 2 left’, I understand it was late in the day but it just made me feel like a burden. Despite the nice atmosphere in there, sitting alone with someone who seemed to just want me out of there ASAP really spoiled what I saw as a treat.
