The therapist was friendly and the massage was great. My only gripe is that despite my friend and I arriving on time, we were led to the waiting area by one member of staff and kept waiting before then being given forms which we needed to fill out (why were we not given these when we first arrived?) hence our massages were delayed and so at most we got 50 minutes each. Overall a good experience but I would be loathe to pay full price (£70 or so) for a 50 minutes massage.
The massage was good. The therapist asked if the pressure was adequate and provided a firm massage. The venue itself was pleasant enough (inside a hotel) and the treatment room was nice. I would return.
London Theraphy for U is located in the basement of Victoria Plaza hotel sharing the reception with this small gym and being located in a decent sizes room just off the gym. My appointment was for 4pm, so I guess this is the reason I did not hear the noises anyone keeps complaining about, yet I could hear a big guy training another man. I did not have a problem with that though, as I was trying to enjoy my massage as much as possible. The massage therapist had a very good technique and was lovely but I was annoyed with her on 2 issues: she lacks the capability to listen to the end of the sentence jumping up with assumptions and advice she is not qualified to say the least and the fact that she came in the room as I was getting dressed to leave under the pretence to leave some fresh towels so I had to tell her several times to leave in order me to dress up as she would not comprehend that. Despite my appointment being fixed several months in advance, the receptionist called me that day to say they don't have staff to do my massage and that everybody has been cancelled, yet as I left there were other people arriving for the massage. The delay in being called back by receptionist in order 'to find' a receptionist for me, made me leave my office later, which cummulated with train problems led me to arrive later, although calling them from my mobile to tell them this. Upon arrival the therapist seemed not to have communicated with the receptionist of this, so I have been told my massage will take only some 35min????!!!!! I had again to call the receptionist as I laid naked on the bed and agree it was not my fault, so eventually the massage extended to 50min. But come on, a better time management on their part should have prevented this. And I still left a tip for the therapist! Another massage is booked for next month, I wish I will not encounter these problems again.
The salon is in the basement of a hotel and consists of a few treatment rooms next to the gym. My therapist was knowledge and my deep tissue massage was good. The pressure was firm and she massaged out the knots in my muscles. The treatment room was clean and relaxing. I would definitely come for a treatment again.
The location of the treatment room is a little odd, 3 floors below ground, and having to go into the gym first. However, the rooms are ambiently lit and relatively large, which makes it very relaxing. The towels seemed warmed and the therapist was very good at explaining what my massage entailed, as I'd never had a hot stone massage before.
