I’ve been to Macintyres before and wanted to return. Unfortunately the customer service just wasn’t as good as I would expect and when it’s £40 for a treatment and you want to leave feeling pampered, I left feeling like I’d been an inconvenience.
The top floor treatment has a faulty light that was flickering throughout and not particularly relaxing, then I was served hot tea in a glass tumbler rather than a mug so that was painfully hot to hold! Whilst the beauticians are skilled and friendly, this individual soaked my feet at the start of the pedicure but rather than explain that she was going to leave me for 10 minutes to do this, i was left in silence with no explanation and the beautician sat with her back to me playing on her phone and sipping her tea. It would have been much nicer for her to explain she was going to leave me to it, with an offered drink and magazine, and then she could go into a side room if she wanted to use her phone. I have experienced this twice now with beauticians keeping their phone in the top drawer of the desk and using them during pauses in treatments and I don’t find it professional.
