Great spa facilities. Asked for payment when we arrived even though I had already paid for it via treat well. Then asked for voucher code but as there is very poor mobile reception at the hotel and the wifi doesn't work well I couldn't get the code. They did accept this however. Massage was relaxing but I was a little disappointed with the standard of the afternoon tea. The sandwiches were quite stale, one of the strawberry tarts had a mouldy strawberry and the cakes weren't that fresh. Seemed that the tarts had been sitting in the fridge all day uncovered. I had hoped for a better standard of food given the level of hotel. Overall still a very enjoyable day with excellent spa facilities but could have done with better food.

Spa was lovely but the hotel itself felt tired. We were given a room right at the back of the hotel looking into the car park... Generally wasn't impressed with the room at all. Spa and treatments were great but was hoping to feel more spoiled with the price we paid. Was supposed to be a treat but didn't really feel like it. Food was okay.

Overall a half decent spa day and good value for money. Steam rooms were out of order during our visit which was a shame. Loungers by pool all taken up with towels to save them, but unused - frustrating as couldn't use them. Would probably return on a deal.

The day was ruined by the deplorable service in the restaurant for lunch: we were kept waiting for ages despite having an allotted time; our drinks took a very long time to arrive once we'd ordered them; our food, despite being pre-ordered also took a really long time and then my order was wrong so I didn't get my lunch until 20 mins after my friend had had hers; the quality of the food was very poor as well - warm crudités, dried out streak, over cooked noodles. It's a 4 star hotel and I was expecting much better for the money paid. The length of time wasted on lunch and the poor service and quality dampened the spa experience which was otherwise good.

General corridors could do with a lick of paint however it is purely cosmetic.
Food was very good value.

I bought the luxury spa day for my daughters 18th birthday for us both. It gave us quality time to spend together. the staff was very friendly and helpful. The facilities was great we loved the indoor/outdoor Jacuzzi .I always like the steam room but in this wasn't as hot or steamy in the morning. It was ok for after we had our lunch and treatments but disappointed it was late on in the day for this. The was also a couple of small tiles in the steam room loose causing them to stick to you when you sat down .We both had full body massages I felt mine was excellent but my daughter didn't feel the same she had her leg area worked on more instead of her top half.
I rate this a 5 because of the way we were looked after and certainly value for money.

Hotel a little dated for my own liking but I'm sure some will see as part of its charm. There was one condescending bar man that rubbed is the wrong way but didn't let him ruin our trip. Spa was fantastic, especially the outdoor jacuzzi. Treatment was great too.

The Perfect Present Spa Day was fantastic value for money, unlimited use of the sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and swimming pool between 10-4, tasty bento box lunch and a fabulous Elemis facial and back massage. The staff at the Marine are attentive though not intrusive. Had a fabulous relaxing time, even the fire alarm couldn't spoil a wonderful visit.

The hotel was lovely the staff were very friendly and helpful. The spa was also really good . I would recomend the Marine Hotel but take your own drink this was very expensive £12 for one glass of wine !!!

The hotel was fantastic, lovely friendly staff with a traditional feel of grandeur to it.
The spa was good as part of a hotel package, we enjoyed our massage and it has a great indoor/outdoor Jacuzzi, although the aroma steam room could do with more aroma and the vent at the top covering up.
We were disappointed with the restaurant, the service was slow and the food was fine but not overly interesting (even on the a la carte menu) and could have been executed better.
