Luxury wax bar is usually very good, however this time I had an awful experience. The therapist seemed to be in a crazy rush- her careless attitude as left my skin bruised and burnt anddd several hairs have also been left. All in all a disappointing experience this time
Luxury Wax Bar is a cute little salon just off of Oxford Street. It’s very quiet and peaceful inside, and the staff are so sweet and welcoming. The decor is lovely and the atmosphere is very calm. Today I was booked for a full leg wax, underarm wax and bikini line - all with hot wax. At the last minute the esthetician suggested that we should use strip wax for my legs rather than hot wax. I haven’t had strip wax before, but I trusted her judgement as she is the professional. Overall I’m quite satisfied with my experience - the areas where she used hot wax (underarm and bikini line) are absolutely perfect, however I wish I’d had the hot wax for my legs as I originally booked. My legs aren’t completely smooth, and I feel as though the strip wax has broken a lot of the hairs rather than removing them completely. The esthetician did say that I shouldn’t expect a perfect result as I had a mix of longer and shorter hairs, however I did feel that I had a good enough regrowth (3 weeks) for her to work with. I’ve also been left with a lot of sticky residue on my legs, which I’ve had to take off myself at home. While taking off the sticky residue from the strip wax, I’ve noticed quite a few patches of hair that have been missed, so I’m now removing the hairs myself with tweezers. I probably would go to Luxury Wax Bar again as their prices are fair, but I think next time I would definitely stick to the hot wax rather than strip wax and I would only go to them for smaller areas.
