Like most women, getting waxed is not something I look forward to! Having had some very painful experiences, I am quite a nervous customer! I neednt' have been concerned though as my Hollywood wax with Andreea was honestly one of the best I have had. She was reassuring, professional and most importantly, she gave me the perfect wax. The room itself was clean and comfortable and the Sex and The City playing in the background was a great touch. I would definitely recommend Luxury Wax Bar to my friends.
It has been my third visit here and the ladies do a good job. Even though I phone ahead to say I was running late just under 15mins and had two clients after me, she still managed to do my waxing.
Really nice place - very clean, rooms beautifully decorated and enjoyed watching SATC while being waxed.
Waxer was very friendly but hadn't remembered her glasses that day meaning wax was not very thorough - there were a number of hairs left at the end which I had to tweeze myself afterwards - and wasn't able to fully wax my armpits as said the hairs weren't long enough.
The bits she did do were well done - high quality wax used so not too painful- and really nice cooling cream used afterwards so no irritation.
The Hollywood wax was a 5 star experience as the staff were amazing and did a great job.
When it came to my eyebrow shape (which should have included a shape, wax, tint and makeup) I was severely disappointed. Sadly the staff member was new and didn't know what she was doing. Ended up being a threading and I had to ask for the additional services as non of the staff knew what was included. The staff member ended up doing makeup on my eyes (I would assume makeup for an eyebrow treatment would be makeup for your eyebrows) and did not have appropriate makeup, tools or experience. I left and had to quickly remove the makeup as it was thick and very dark, not professional.
So overall I left disappointed but would give them another go. I would just double check before treatments that they know what is involved.
