Upper lip wax was one of the worst I've had, partly because I was sensitive that day. It was painful, and she went on FOREVER. It stressed me out so much I started crying. Even worse, I went home only to discover I still had plenty of hairs left that she hadn't removed! All of that pain for nothing, and now I have little lumps on my lip. Shocking treatment for all of the reviews this place has.
However, the Hollywood wax wasn't too painful, it was far easier than I was anticipating, thanks to the hot wax. The young girl doing it wasn't very reassuring though. I am new to waxing, so it'd be nice to have someone 'show you the ropes' and be supportive and humourous. She did her best, and was very professional, so I commend her for that. The process is laying on your back, opening your legs by putting the soles of your feet together. And to access the back, I was told to just lift my legs up in the air.
The room was small, my head was next to a very full bin which wasn't very pleasant, but Friends was playing on the TV so that was a good distraction. I was offered water too. The whole venue itself is very beautiful.
