Prior to visiting Luxury Wax Bar, I had not only been a Brazilian virgin, but a waxing virgin! I had no idea what to expect and I was terrified. But Theo (the wonderful waxing specialist that I had) was incredibly lovely. She made me feel very comfortable, walked me through every step, and was very sympathetic to how anxious I was. The wax (albeit painful—but how could it not be? You're taking hair out in a very sensitive area) was not excruciating (to my surprise!). And I think that had a lot to do with Theo's technique of breathing in very quickly during the most painful moments. It also didn't hurt to have Sex and the City playing in the background, haha. I will definitely be back and hope to have Theo again. Highly recommended.

I had a mostly good experience here. The waxing was done very well and was practically painless, having Sex and the City to watch was good. The only issue was that I could hear staff laughing about me and other clients. So long as you have high self-esteem, this will be a great place for you.
