The staff was extremely friendly and did a nice job with the blow dry and even curling my hair. I showed up a bit early for the appointment which was no problem for them and they stayed in the time frame they gave on the website. Overall it was a great experience!

Easy to find and nicely decorated. Greeted immediately. Stylist seemed a little like he was talking the bare minimum and everything seemed a little bit mechanical. He was very good at blowdrying and towards the end started chatting a little bit. The hair wash is the bit that is usually most relaxing when having a blow dry and unfortunately this was rushed. A good blow dry but not necessarily a relaxing experience.

I booked at Luxe as I've recently moved house, and in desperate need of a haircut decided to try somewhere near to my office - most of the reviews seemed good, so I went in without concern.
Overall it was a very poor experience for the price, with a stylist who I think isn't used to cutting hair (my booking confirmation had her named as a nail technician) I'd allowed over an hour for the appointment, and informed her at the start of the appointment that I needed to get back to work for a specific time. The cut was incredibly slow, for what was essentially just a trim, taking 1hr30 in total for a cut and blow-dry, making me very late for my meeting. As the reviewer below, she cut the hair, then rough dried it, and cut again, before styling in a curly blow-dry, without asking me what I wanted (I wanted it straight, as it had been when I arrived as I had to return to the office immediately after). At no stage were any additional styling products or sprays used on my hair, and the equipment was not the professional kind that one would expect of a salon - the hairdryer she used was not very powerful at all!
Her cutting method was incredibly disconcerting - hacking at dry hair, which was painful, and cutting the whole of my hair with the parting on the wrong side, before assuring me at the end that i could 'just wear it wherever i wanted'.
Once I'd got home and straightened my hair the cut was okay (although shorter than i'd asked for) but I was very unhappy for the afternoon until I could do this.
The salon seemed clean, but unimpressive, and the ambience was ruined by the phone with the music attached to it constantly ringing through the speakers. It was in no way a relaxing or enjoyable experience as a visit to the salon usually is!
I won't be returning here - the salon should definitely reconsider their prices for a very slow and unprofessional service.
