So disappointed. I’m pretty sure the stylist was pissed that I had booked an appointment at 6, but I didn’t know that they closed at 7 until I got there and if this was a problem I shouldn’t have been able to book an appointment at that time. I am assuming this was the case because she was in such a rush to finish my hair. It was extremely uncomfortable as I was very aware that she did not want to be doing the appointment. Hardly said a word to me - I couldn’t even tell you her name. I had told her that I wanted bangs when I came in. When the front part of my hair was wet she cut some “bangs” long and straight across. She told me that she would cut them how I had described when she’d finished. I thought that was fine and the appointment continued. When she’s finished blow drying, she said that because my hair was so long I wouldn’t look good with bangs (uh, okay?). Again, presumably because she just wanted the appointment to be finished. I was so uncomfortable and had wanted to get out of that chair since I first sat in it, so I just agreed with her so that I could get out of there. Ultimately though, I’m really disappointed because it was not a great experience and I didn’t get what I had asked for. I expected a lot more from this salon based on the reviews it has. I had even told her that she could style my hair in whatever way was easiest for her just so that I could try not to be such a pain, because I also know I have difficult hair that hadn’t been managed in a long time. I totally get that it’s a long day and she was probably tired. But as a personal trainer, my client at 8pm gets the same treatment as my client at 8am because they are both paying me and both worth my time. If I couldn’t handle doing that, or the long days, I would get into a different line of work. So yeah, one star because my hair doesn’t look awful and a bother because other people seemed to be having a positive experience. But I won’t be back.
