My Balayage looks so very well made with a smooth blend. They managed to get my hair colour very light with 1 session due to olaplex. Only odd thing I found was that the whole time I wasn't sat by the mirrors, there is this large table in the middle of the salon where they dye your hair. It wasn't until the blowdry that I saw what my hair looked like - creates quite a shock once it's finished.
I went into the Vauxhall store on the 24th of March and got my hair done by Sean. I asked for a purple/pink/red balayage. After 8 hours in the salon, numerous toners, I absolutely loved the result. It was exactly what I wanted. During the treatment, Sean ran out of purple colour half way through and I saw him mix a blue/red together (I assume - it was two colours and he didn’t admit to running out, I just witnessed this).
I waited five days to wash it as instructed and once I did the colour changed immediately - I have attached photos of after it was done and after it was washed below. Basically the colours faded drastically, and there is a big splotch that changed from purple to a bright blue - and it’s getting brighter as the other colours are fading. I understand that bright colours do fade, but this was a pretty big change within a week, and as I paid nearly £450 I would expect that this would last longer than a week.
The after photo was taken after one wash, I have washed it once more since and the colours have mixed together and the blue has become brighter again.
I complained and was pleasantly invited back by the Operations manager for it to be fixed. I apprehensively attended.
Sean said they couldn’t fix the balayage so he did an all over colour, telling me that it was all that could be done and “to have realistic expectations this time”. Let’s be clear, I’ve had multi coloured hair for a long time now, it doesn’t fade to a LITERAL different colour in ONE CHUNK OF MY HAIR after one singular wash. Unacceptable. The purple got redone, I went home. No refund was given considering I paid for a much more comprehensive service.
I waited a week this time, as instructed, expecting it to fade because I’m not a moron and yet again, big splotch of BLUE. Are your stylists colour blind? I imagine you don’t take pride in your work. After spending £96 on treatwell and £350 on the day which was NOT quoted to me in advance so I was stuck paying it at the end), I would definitely expect a better result. Fade? Yep! That’s normal. A whole chunk of my hair going blue? Not good enough.
I followed up again, via Facebook, got no reply. Called and asked for an email address, was advised we’d get a reply 2 business days later. 4 days later, they reply saying that basically hair fades, they’ll fix it for free but not refund it and that it’s been two weeks. The reason it’s been so long between emails is because of your lack of responsiveness. I’ve been in contact as soon as the problems have occurred.
I can assure you, I will be in touch until compensation for this sub par, overpriced service is given.
Looking forward to your response.
