Shambles from start to finish. I had a ladies cut and dry appointment on Sunday at 10:45. I arrived at 10:35 to be told by the receptionist that I was too early, and that my hairdresser was running late and to come back at 10:55. (Not too sure why I wasn't allowed to sit in the waiting area). I arrived back at 10:55 to be told by the receptionist that their card machine had broken and to go get cash from the ATM, about a 5 min walk. So off I went and got my cash out and arrived back around 11:05. Next 15 mins were sat in the waiting area with no explanation about my appointment or lack thereof. At 11:20 receptionist finally apologised for the delay and offered me tea/coffee. At 11:30 my hairdresser came over to talk to me and apologised for the delay and explained that her previous appointment dye job had taken longer than expected to rectify but I'd be shampooed soon. Though slightly annoyed by this point I did understand that sometimes these things happen so wasn't too fussed.
A few minutes later I had my hair shampooed and conditioned. The lady washing my hair then told me she was giving a complimentary treatment. But I was given no explanation as to what it actually was or what it was meant to do, which quite concerning as I could have been allergic to the treatment. Treatment funnily enough took 15 mins which I'm pretty sure was just a way to wile away the time while my hairdresser was busy.
After the treatment which took us to 11:45, now an hour over my original appointment, I was led to get my haircut. At this point I should mention that earlier in the conversation with the hairdresser she asked me how much I'd like to get off and I said about an inch. Once she'd taken an inch off I realised I'd actually like to go a bit shorter. Her reply? I haven't got enough time to go shorter and you did say you wanted an inch off and that's what I've done. Extremely hypocritical and unprofessional.
I also had asked for her to dry my hair curly and to have weight taken out. She instead blew dry my hair straight and with me having curly and very thick hair, it ballooned 3 times around my face making me look like a mushroom. The hairdresser fawned over it saying it looked fantastic and had so much volume, trying to hurry me out of the chair. At this point I was very annoyed and wanted to get out of there as quick as possible so agreed with her and went to pay.
Reception then took 10 mins to try and give me change as they haven't got any. (Apparently no one had the foresight to go break some change in a nearby newsagents). In the end she said she hasn't got enough to pay me charge and she'll have to go to a shop. Now completely fed up I overpay for the worst haircut and hair experience and get out of there.
From start to finish this was terrible customer service and am honestly a bit baffled as to why they thought this was an okay way to treat a customer.
I'm not going to say don't go here as obviously it's largely got very good reviews but definitely customer service and manners could be improved.
A great experience! Staff were all very friendly and welcoming and Younes gave me the exact cut and style I asked for, will definitely return and would absolutely recommend to anyone.
