Great work thanks
This is usually a 5 star experience for me, I had a day off work today for my birthday and I wanted to start my experience at my favourite mani/pedi spot and was incredibly disappointed. I called to ask if I could push my appointment to 1:30 pm initially booked at 1:00 pm but was told nothing was available at that time, (that’s fine) before I would have thought to then cancel it because I don’t want to be late, I then was asked, if you’re stuck in traffic, how long will you be - I said I can get there for 1:10 pm and then arrived through the doors after parking at 1:20 pm. Ok my bad for being this late, then turn me away if you have to guys! But do not go ahead and provide me with the service I’ve just had. First, I wasn’t greeted, the entire staff looked like they’d been told off and put to work with miserable faces. Everyone was in a bad mood - the thing with bad moods is the poor service. I wasn’t offered a drink. The guy doing my mani and pedi rushed through it, poor cuticle trimming, poor hard skin removal he was just so deflated and bored of being there. He asked me if I wanted to have my hard skin removed,when, being a regular there that’s your call, you guys know what to do - my fingernails are full of hangnails/dry hanging little bits of skin when they weren’t like that before, they actually looked nicer without the mani. I don’t want to have to micromanage my pedicure, I want to just close my eyes and be treated. every time he did something he asked me if it was ok, when I said no, and he tried to rectify it, whether it was the cuticles, nail shaping etc he didn’t get it right unfortunately. There are maybe only 3 people I have been treated by there who are EXCEPTIONAL. This was one bad experience I’m sharing because I think it’s important to be consistent with your service. Maybe the service is only good when the owner is there as he is very friendly and keeps an eye on what everyone else is doing. Frankly, if that’s the case, I hope he comes back soon because I’d rather go there when the energy is better. It was sour today and I walked in feeling very good and walked out on a major LOW, disappointed with my treatment and shocked at how rude they were. I think that’s unnecessary. I’m not used to Lilly’s like this, you guys are amazing so bring that back!
I had a specific idea of what I wanted and showed a photo - I was moved to a women who had the capabilities to do what I wanted. It also cost an additional £7, which was fine. She was quick and made sure I was happy with length/shape etc. Not the most perfect nails I’ve ever had, but I appreciate they weren’t the standard design, so I’m happy for what I paid!
