Upon arrival I was greeted by a staff member who said she thought the spray tan booking was for a woman( my name is Joe) I asked if this a problem and she looked pretty horrified and said I should wait. A couple of minutes later she asked if I could go to their other branch in edgeware rd. I informed them this was inconvenient and that there was no mention on the app that the spray tan was only available to women and asked for a refund to which I was told this was not possible. She then informed me that the owner of the business would be doing my tan because he was a man. What can only be described as a disgruntled gentleman in his late 60’s with very limited English proceeded with the spray tan but was obviously very put out to be doing so. I only mention the language barrier because it was really disconcerting to be stood in front of someone in paper pants and to not be able to communicate or be given basic instructions. I literally had to keep asking him to go over bits that he had missed including the insides of my legs and I was left with white ‘shelves’ under both butt cheeks. Luckily (or not)as time will tell he had left the machine running and I took it upon myself to spray the bits he had missed in his rush to get finished. I was not dried off as I have been in the past so put my clothes back on to find I’d wiped a lot of the tan off and was given zero advice on aftercare. All in all a truly traumatic experience.
