I booked a Hollywood wax, which I've had 30+ times in various salons in London. This was the WORST experience I've ever had.
Firstly, I was charged an extra £10 for hot wax (which they reduced to £8 when I said I wasn't happy). Secondly, the process was unusually painful due to poor technique using the hot wax - I myself use hot wax on my bikini line and on my partners chest so know what to do! I had to stop the 'beautician' and she changed to using strip wax which she was clearly experienced at doing and did better. The beautician managed to tell me that the hot wax was painful not because of her technique but because I was stressed?! Considering I usually find the process uncomfortable but painless due to the frequency of times I've had it done, this claim is ridiculous. I have a 'burn mark' where my skin came off on one side. I tried to complain but the staff are not fluent in English so it was a waste of time. Do not go here for hot wax, especially near bikini area!
