Just had my hair cut by Fahi. what a delightfully friendly lady. so polite too! the lady (who's name I didnt catch) who threaded my eyebrows was lovely and friendly and did a thorough job.
Both ladies were swift and skilled and I throughly enjoyed my first experience here!
The only reason I marked it down very very slightly was that it was very quiet - no background music and just a tv to listen to. Maybe some soft music would be nice and relaxing?
I decided that I wanted to have balayage done for a wedding the following weekend. I’d never been to this salon before but I did a lot of research on good local salons and trusted the excellent reviews. I specifically asked for subtle, bronde balayage and I repeatedly said that I wanted it to look natural. I felt comfortable that the stylist had listened and understood what I wanted so was happy to carry on.
When the hair dye had been on for 35 minutes, another customer without an appointment came in to ask the stylist if she could fit her in there and then. The stylist agreed and left the area of the salon that I was in for another 40 minutes to treat her - without even mentioning anything to me! All in all I was left with the dye in my hair for 1h 15m which is far too long (according to another hairdresser I spoke to at another salon).
I ended up with brassy yellow blonde hair and, on top of that, there was a straight dark line between the roots and the dyed hair - it looked nothing like natural blended look you get with balayage. It was clear that the stylist hadn’t listened to anything I’d said. The colour was far from natural and didn’t suit me at all. I was completely distraught and had to spend another £100 at another salon to have the bad job fixed and was advised that I will likely have to have further appointments to repair the damage. A truly awful experience.
