The treatment (eyebrow threading) was great, but I did feel that my preferences weren’t as important as them trying to push other treatments on me. I have very dark eyebrows and have no aversion to cosmetic tweaks and semi permanent treatments, but the continuous mention/recommendation of microblading was quite tiresome. No one ‘needs’ microblading. But as I said, the treatment was good and I was happy with my eyebrows. I just don’t think the insulting of someone’s natural brows or anything else is necessary to expand and promote your business. Another thing to add is eyebrow threading is done in the open salon, and not in a desperate room. Personally, I don’t have an issue with this, but I can imagine many might.
I had the most horrendous appointment at Lemogee Clinic today. I booked in for a Olaplex hair appointment and paid online. There wasn’t an option under “Olaplex” to have a hair cut as well without doing a wash and blow dry so I thought I would pay extra there. Drying my hair was the absolute LEAST the hair dresser could do. It should be part of the service NOT to leave the salon with wet hair. At the end she tried to charge me £40 for the haircut and dry. When I pointed out how different the price was to Treatwell she said my hair was curly (it’s not, it’s wavy) and she was in pain the whole time she was drying it from pulling and that’s why it cost so much.....
Even the other staff were shaking their heads mouthing that what she was charging was too expensive to me. But she wouldn’t budge. I payed the £40 but I walked out almost in tears. I am a student and don’t have that much money however, I probably spend most of what I do have there. I am a regular customer and go there at LEAST once a week. This woman (short and blonde with glasses speaks limited English) has ruined my experience. Needless to say I won’t be setting foot in that place again.
