Really enjoyable experience. I had a back massage with Charlotte and it was absolutely amazing. I will book a spa day there every month from now on. Just one drawback, coffee should be available in reception. Also, the choice of lunch is limited to jacket potato which is always dried up.

This was our first visit to the spa, and it won't be our last. We loved every minute of it, and will now make this a monthly treat. All the staff are lovely, they do everything they can to make your experience an enjoyable one. I had a back massage which was amazing, then later in the day I had a foot massage. My skin felt amazing. The only let down is having to walk through the bar area in your robe to get lunch. There was a wedding party in, and I'm sure they don't want to see all those women in robes. The room allocated to the spa lunches is right at the far end, and looks like very unloved and shabby. The dining room allocated for use by the spa could be reached via the hotel, but is difficult to find and via a lot of steps. So while walking across the courtyard is bad enough in summer I don't think it will be very pleasant in winter. The only choice for lunch was what filling to have on a jacket potato. It was very dry and difficult to cut or eat. Overall, the spa is lovely, but if they are providing lunch then improvements could be made.

A four star destination, the hotel and accommodation at Tankersley Manor combines the rustic charm of original features including exposed wooden beams and Yorkshire stone windowsills alongside contemporary style. With a mixture of room types there is something for everyone from twin rooms, spacious superior rooms to luxury suites which have their own lounge area.

There are a number of public areas at the hotel to relax. The hotel Bar & Brasserie serves great local home cooked food, for larger groups there are a host of private dining options available and in March 2017 a new bar and lounge area opened with plush modern furnishings set against characterful old English stone walls.”
