Leisure & Spa at Tankersley Manor part of QHotels

Spa & Leisure

Tankersley Manor is built around a former 17th century residence with many of the original features being retained, including exposed wooden beams and cottage style windows, however, the purpose built health club facilities provide a modern edge alongside a tranquil spa where health and fitness is overseen by fitness gurus.

Design is modern throughout this part of Tankersley Manor, and with five treatment rooms including a double room, therapists at the spa offer a range of therapies from facials and massages to wraps, manicures and pedicures.

Opening times treatment availability 9:30am until 6pm every day with exception of Thursday Friday available until 8:30p. Kids can swim every day 8-10am and 4-6pm. Wednesday morning 9-10:30am mother and baby swim.

Hotel & Accommodation

A four star destination, the hotel and accommodation at Tankersley Manor combines the rustic charm of original features including exposed wooden beams and Yorkshire stone windowsills alongside contemporary style. With a mixture of room types there is something for everyone from twin rooms, spacious superior rooms to luxury suites which have their own lounge area.

There are a number of public areas at the hotel to relax. The hotel Bar & Brasserie serves great local home cooked food, for larger groups there are a host of private dining options available and in March 2017 a new bar and lounge area opened with plush modern furnishings set against characterful old English stone walls.”

Describe your visit to Leisure & Spa at Tankersley Manor
I found the treatments excellent
The staff were all friendly however the staff in the restaurant for lunch were slow and some items such as mineral water and different types of coffee were not readily available and let the day down.
There was also a lack of relaxation area which would have been a great additive to the package overall. It was hardtop relax around the pool after treatments and the area was noisy, the chairs uncomfortable.
The other facilities such as the steam and sauna rooms were very good. However the showers in the changing rooms had run out of shower gel I did not take my own and found this little thing would have added to my experience if available on the day.
these are the reasons 5 stars were not given at this time.

Spa was nice but very busy on Sunday of a bank holiday. I had the foot and leg massage and gel manicure - was disappointed not much massage after my nails were done, otherwise everything else was good. 3 course lunch hour was also nice. Would recommend a further visit at a quieter time.

Tankersley manor is a beautiful venue. The spa was welcoming, with attentive staff. The choice of treatments was very good.
The light lunch was jacket potato and either fruit or profiteroles. The only criticism I would offer is the room they place spa day voucher users for lunch. It is very basic, scruffy and a complete opposite to what you would expect from such a beautiful hotel & spa, as it is the last thing we did and saw, it did leave a bit of a taint to the day, but we were there for the spa really, not the lunch.
