I have been having my haircut with Marlita for a number of years now and I am very happy for the way she and her husband Miguel have improved the salon while keeping the high level of personal service. Top marks for their hard work and loyal customer service!!!

I mistakenly booked for the 6th instead of the 7th. I didn’t realise my error until I arrived for my appointment which I thought was the 7th July. I was so looking forward to a cut and blow dry as I have a small baby and my husband was treating me. I had pre paid for the appointment and on arrival was informed I had missed it. Disappointing that they could not honour it for a different date. I accept it was my fault but would have been nice if they could have re arranged for me rather than just taking my money and dismissing me.

This has been my worst experience in a Salon booking through treatwell by far. Do not visit for MANICURE/ PEDICURE! YOU WILL REGRET IT
The nail technician was very friendly, however her character cannot compensate for her lack of skills- she simply can't do nails. Leaving aside that the cleanness in the salon is way below acceptable, the way she does manicure/pedicure is beyond unhygienic. Firstly, the way she painted my nails is going way outside of the nail shape(as if she is painting on a wall) and proceeding to clean them with a wooden stick. Painful, but also not hygienic as wood can't be sanitized. And this stick is part of her tools- she does not throw it after one use. I did not enjoy the pedicure she did on me but I didn't interrupt her to leave out of politeness.. Things got really bad when she started with manicure. I had gel nails before and the way she removed it I now have two broken nails(1 week after this horror experience.) Cleaning the nail varnish that was outside of the nails with this wooden stick made my cuticles bleed after. In the meantime as she is cleaning it the nail varnish gets all over her fingers and then sticks on mine as she is holding my hands. So unprofessional! The top of everything was that she didn't realise that the colour which I chose would not be enough for all my nails- so midway as she's done with one of my hands, she lets me know that the colour finished and I have to chose another one! Bear in mind by that time I was already for more than two hours in the salon! I wanted to leave and speak with the manager and the staff were extremely unhelpful. That's not the way to run a business! The manager refused to speak to Treatwell team and his wife(who's a hairdresser at the salon) assured me upon me leaving that I will be given a full refund for this traumatic experience. Next day, the manager "assessed" the damage done to me by being worth only the change of color- as the varnish finished and I was offered 5 pounds as a compensation. Nevermind that I wasted my time that day, I had to go to another salon the day after so they can save my nails- which were bear after the removal of gel nails. BEWARE!
