When I arrived I was really taken back by how nicely the Salon was presented and designed. The first thing I felt when I walked in was instant relaxation. Something I haven't felt before in a Beauty Salon.
The young lady who done my nails was very pleasant and engaged with me, which is important as a new customer.
Unfortunately I was not quite pleased with my Manicure and Pedicure. I am not saying she is not good, but for me, it was not to my satisfication. It was just all the little small things which kept adding up that made me feel unsatifisied.
I had my pedicure first, which followed by the manicure. I did let her know that after my pedicure my foot felt a bit sore from the buffering. I asked her is the bottom of my foot red as I could feel a discomfort and she said yes it's a bit red and said my feet maybe abit sensitive.
I have had a pedicure many times before but haven't experienced my feet feeling sore before. Cleaning my cuticles was abit of a discomfort too, that could be due to having quite low nails, as I got prodded quite a few times which she did apologise for. Again, I felt a bit of discomfort by this. I found the exfoliating a bit abrasive for my skin. Overall I would not say she is rough in anyway as I don't feel she was, but for myself I didn't find it very comfortable or relaxing as I would have liked.
I also was not happy to walk on the floor with my bare feet to get my nails done. I would have thought some disposable flip flops would have been provided.
In regards to my manicure I had to keep pointing out things which I did not like, and after explaining it, I still ended up trying to explain again. I was left disappointed after my nails were complete. I had my first gel nails done and it did not have the finish I was expecting at all. I have seen many people's hands who do gel nails and their finish just looks amazing. Unfortunately I did not get this feeling which I was expecting. I felt like I had done them myself.
This is one of the reasons why I only prefer to be seen by senior staff, to avoid dissppointment and not long enough experience.

I am fussy when it comes to my eyebrows and they do a fab job with tinting and threading. Staff are friendly and the salon is lovely like a little spa in the heart of catford. Never had a bad treatment here yet
