I came to Jona Hair for a cut, wash, blow dry and deep conditioning treatment. The salon itself is lovely, very clean and tidy. However I was a little disappointed with my service at the start. The hairdresser I had unfortunately didn't speak any English, which I was informed about half way through my treatment. This of course is fine, but worth stating early on as she wasn't communicating with me at all and I was very confused! Usually I am asked what I would like done before the service starts. I was instead told as opposed to be being asked, very hurriedly as well, that I'm just having a trim. This was well after the wash and deep conditioning treatment. I did in fact want more off the length but communicating this was very difficult! I will now have to get another haircut in a few weeks time.
I also wasn't asked what style of blow dry I wanted, usually I am asked curly, straight etc. When you pay for the service, I do expect to be asked!
I think the salon owner noticed I wasn't too happy at this stage and took over after the initial blow dry left my hair very flat - not my style at all! She shaped the hair around my face, like I wanted, and curled it with tongs which looked great. I did leave happy but it just would have been nice to have that treatment throughout.
The deep conditioning treatment was very good, hair still feels great after three days. This I would definitely recommend as it's not much extra.
Worth noting as well it's cash only, so bring some with you to save you dashing to cash machine!
