My friend and I were made so welcome and found The Retreat in a very convenient location close to Oxford Street. The small salon was clean and soft music and dimmed lights in the treatment room were very relaxing. I was so ashamed of my awful nails but Jade managed to make them look fabulous - a very knowledgeable technician. My friend had a facial and emerged having appreciated the treatment and the Dermalogica products. The best bit was that Jade and Hannah were so friendly and they made our visit very good fun. Will certainly return and will also try the hairdresser (Czaro) above as another client was singing their praises. The Wahanda deal was extremely good value but the salon's prices loooked very reasonable anyway.
My gel nails looked great and lasted for the whole of my holiday (2 weeks) without any chips in them. I would definitely go back to this salon for this treatment.
I went to the Retreat for a 30 min express manicure and would definitely recommend it. The nail technician Jade is very experienced and - being the joint owner of the salon - I felt she really made an extra effort. The salon has only been open 4 months but already seems very popular - you need to book ahead! This is a great find just 5 mins from Oxford Circus tube but prices are reasonable. I would definitely return and recommend to friends. Want to try a facial next!
I booked the facial and mini manicure deal and was so impressed with the salon itself and the service. The salon is lovely, really beautifully decorated and clean. The therapists are so friendly, Hannah who did my facial was fantastic and gave a great neck massage - I felt very relaxed afterwards and could have stayed there for another hour! I would highly recommend this salon.
I arrived at the salon and the therapist was very welcoming. I did get the feeling that she was rushing with my manicure. I would have preferred more of a manicure as the 45 mins was spent doing the gel polish. My advice would be to add another 15 minutes to the treatment to make it more of a treatment. Overall, I'm happy with my nails.
