You get what you pay for. This was my first visit to Jacksons, which seems to be mainly a men's and children's barber with one station for ladies' haircuts. I would only recommend to come here for a haircut if you are up for a no-frills experience and are only seeking a simple cut that doesn't require much skill. I asked for a straight bob with wispy fringe and have ended up with a multilayered bob that is inexplicably frizzy (I think due to an over-reliance on dull thinning scissors ... my hair has always naturally laid flat so I'm not happy with this new look) and fringe that is shorter than I wanted as she kept taking more and more off. I took advantage of a special deal so only paid £19 but feel like I would have been better off paying double to go somewhere else and have my hair cut by someone more skilled in a nicer salon. I won't be returning to Jacksons.
