Having seen the reviews and 5 star ratings for this salon I couldn’t wait to go check it out for myself. However, I was extremely disappointed with my facial. My therapist had a cold and was breathing all over my face which I found revolting as her personal hygiene was not good. My therapist left the room as the clay set on my face, after returning I could smell food on her breath which again I found disgusting as a client therefore I chose to hold my breath as she “cleaned” my nose as I didn’t want to inhale her breath through my mouth. When my therapist re-entered the room for a second time, she entered suddenly which made me jump, which I found quite inconsiderate. I was told to rest for 10 minutes whist the therapist needed something else to set on my face towards the end of the treatment and next door was a lady having a pedicure talking very loudly on the phone. I didn’t question this as I thought her voice was coming from upstairs, so obviously I did not feel as ease.
Despite choosing a “full facial” which requires steam, I did not receive this which made my treatment very painful. At the end of the treatment, my therapist applied cream however when I went to check my face before leaving the salon, I had white bits left on my face and tissue stuck to my face. This mortified me as I am brown skinned and it isn’t like you wouldn’t notice it. Care and a good service was clearly not a priority. I did not wish to complain when I was there as my therapist English was not good and neither was the receptionist. Other services may be good at this place as I realised the reviews are mainly based on nail treatments however; I would definitely not recommend a facial and definitely will not be returning. Outrageous!
Small venue, not luxurious or anything for a beauty place but friendly and smiley staff. My lashes were done quickly and a week in they seem still to be going strong :)
