I felt unwelcome as soon as I arrived. Someone was having their nails done, and two slightly mature members of staff watched over the client and the technician so intensely I wondered if I had interrupted a test.
The hairstylist gave me a selection of styles and cut it exactly as needed. The two mature staff watched the whole process. I had a photo taken at the end of the cut and that was the only time one of the staff smiled. I said thanks but the staff didn't reply, and it felt very rude.

I had a lovely experience, and received my treatment doubly as fast with two hairdressers applying the bleach at once since I was the only customer in the store at that time.
