As always, Mimi is exceptionally skilled and has saved my skin after I spent years suffering from acne. Because of her, I no longer have to wear any makeup on my face and my skin’s glow has resurfaced. She caters the routine exactly to my skin’s needs so the treatment feels so soothing. I honestly wouldn’t go to anyone else.
I now have a painful SUPERFICIAL BURN right under my eyebrow / on my eyelid due to lack of professionalism and one incredibly thin weirdly shaped eyebrow. And the Mimi was rude.
No I wouldn’t pay for such experience. I’m very upset. I’m about to go on holiday and wanted my eyebrows to look nice, but instead I have this almost inch long burn which will take weeks to heal and uneven eyebrows which look awful.
When Mimi first attempted to wax my eyebrows there was so much hair left behind when she claimed she’d finished (eg like along the middle of my brows). It seemed a bit rushed as she didn’t even check I was happy with them before putting on the lotion and whatever else on my brows.
I asked if she could go over it. She did but became rude, saying that I’d wasted 20 mins of her time already (even though it was a 25 min appointment at it was about 4.15pm. When she went over it she pulled off the wax strip too aggressively and consequently it took off a layer of my skin (and no I don’t have sensitive skin). In addition to this she accidentally made one eyebrow WAY TO THIN. She then put a random lotion directly onto it which made the area sting like crazy and go really red so I asked her to take it off. Professionals know not to put a thick layer cream / oil onto an open wound like that.
I’m worried that it will leave a scar.
With these types of beauty treatments it really depends who you get. Years of experience does not mean anything. I’d rather pay twice the price and have someone that knows what they are doing which is why next time I’ll go to one of the other 100s of other shops in Kensington.
