Mud serial treatment, great for couples a lot of alone time which is great to bond.

Booked for 2 for 1 mud treatment and fizz, good value afternoon tea as an extra £10 added on and was lovely food but there was no staff around for a good few hours, people were waiting to be checked in, we didn't know where the restaurant was for our afternoon tea as wasn't shown and no one around to help so ended up with it much later than we booked for.
The phone was constantly ringing and the relaxation room was way too noisy as it's too small and can hear everything from around it. Probably won't return as not much there apart from one mud chamber and 3 treatment rooms, I think it's ok to offer this to guests staying at the hotel but not to offer as a spa day for non residents. Also had to pay a surcharge for our day with it being on a Sunday which we wasn't aware of so this added an extra £10 on to the already £44 for 2 people so really it was expensive for what was on offer. The best part was sitting in the sun in the grounds with our afternoon tea
It was lovely and quiet - we appeared to be the only other people in the spa. Everything was explained fully to us. The mud serial was lovely - great for getting lovely soft skin and spending some time with a loved one or friend. The afternoon tea was also great and I was catered for as gluten free without any issues! Really good value for money. Lovely, friendly staff as well. Hope to go back really soon. Only downside to the whole experience is that the spa doesn't offer any wet facilities - so there as no relaxing by the pool or in the sauna!

Beautiful location. Wish that the weather had been better so we could have made the most of the grounds. The mud chamber was very hot and I had to keep popping out.Would have liked a timer to see how long was left. The shower outside the chamber wasn't working on the day but this was explained. Felt a bit uncomfortable with the communal changing rooms/shower. Probably would return to the venue but perhaps not the spa unless it improved the facilities.

To get in touch with the Spa to book the day was hard work, which did make me question the place.
However, once it was booked they were so so lovely. Nothing was too much.
As for the spa, it depends what you want. There is only a treatment room and relaxation room. We had lava stone massage, which was amazing and would totally recommend it.
We were relaxed and walking around the castle grounds was very relaxing - it really depends what you require from a spa day.
