I have been to a couple of spa's before but I have never felt very comfortable or been overly impressed, so I was a bit dubious before stepping foot in to Imagine Spa. The first thing that struck me as I drove in to the car park was how secluded the spa was, in the middle of the countryside with a horse paddock next door. A little bit of the doubt I was feeling began to fade away. I was welcomed by a couple of members of staff, who seemed professional and friendly, and then gently led in to a decadent purple waiting room to choose my treatment. As I perused over the treatments and sipped on my water (with ice and lemon of course) I could hear the birds singing outside and the last of my doubts ebbed away. I chose the raindrop massage - where the therapist slowly drips essential oils along your spine and backs of the legs before performing a relaxing massage and applying warm compresses. I suffer from a really knotted back and the therapist tailored the massage to suit me and eased some of my knots which felt great and my back was much looser afterwards. I then spent the rest of my time in the relaxation room which really was relaxing and cosy with it's in-built wood-burner, candles and the comfiest loungers I have ever experienced! Another highlight for me was the hydrotherapy pool and steam rooms which I could have stayed in for hours. I did cut my visit short though as I went on a Saturday and after about 12pm the Spa got very busy and as it is quite small there wasn't really much room - and when a group of 6 girls on a hen party came barging in to the relaxation room laughing and screaming I decided it was time to make a move - sharpish! Also as it got busier the jugs of water didn't get replaced, dirty cups began to build up and one of the showers was absolutely jammed with a mass of black hair in the changing rooms. When I next go back I will be booking in on a weekday instead in the hope that it isn't so busy (it is also slightly cheaper to go during the week). I also didn't get a chance to try out the theatre style kitchen while I was there, but I will have to next time as I heard from a friend who is a strict vegetarian and also wheat-intolerant that they were very helpful in amending a meal for her diet. All in all I had a really nice relaxing time and the staff were brilliant, I think perhaps they need to have a few more staff on hand when it is busy and warn people when they book if there are hen parties booked in on the same day.
I recently had my first visit to Imagine Spa/Blofield Heath and was pretty impressed. Although compact in size the spa has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are both knowledgeable and helpful. I chose the Khanya of Africa Massage which was great and did as it promised (deeply relaxing) the massage also includes a head massage which was one of the best I've had (and I've had a lot!). Although i didn't get to experience the mineral grotto, the aroma steam room was lovely as was the hydrotherapy bath (i didn't want to get out). Another highlight was the theatre style kitchen. Again, compact in size and able to seat around 10 the menu offers a good selection of pasta/salads/soups and desserts. As a wheat intolerant strict vegetarian, the kitchen staff were very helpful in amending a meal to suit my diet. Well done Imagine Spa on another excellent facility
