It was OK but I wasn't sure the threadist was a true professional in that she asked me lots of questions that made me feel like she didn't really know what I wanted DURING the treatment. There was a lot of stopping and asking "do you like? Should I take out more?" Which I guess is good in a sense but I wanted it to be more I've told you what I wanted now just get on with it. It felt very disjointed and always questioning.
I received a pedicure at this salon. I had arrived much earlier than my appointment, as I was in the area and had managed to free myself up sooner than expected. The staff were happy to move my appointment up and give me my treatment when I asked, which was great.
My experience, however, wasn't up to my expectations. While receiving my pedicure, I was told to sit up on a chair that, in my opinion, was quite high and hard to get to. In front of the seat, was a deep sink that allowed you to soak your feet in. It was difficult not to trip and fall in.
Next, while having my cuticles pushed back and trimmed, the manicurist went too deep and caused a small cut or injury on my toe. This did hurt and she proceeded to apply an antiseptic (which I understood was necessary), but it stung and was extremely uncomfortable. This caused me to be weary about having the rest of my cuticles treated! She seemed apologetic about it though.
Also, probably due to a lack of staff, my manicurist repeatedly left me to cater to other customers and check the till/computer (to check appointments and such). Mid-way through what was meant to be a short foot massage, she left, and then came back and forgot to do the other foot and rushed the treatment.
All in all, my toes were painted beautifully and she was a sweet girl, however I don't feel like proper attention was paid to my treatment considering the amount I'd paid, and the experience I was supposed to have. I have received pedicures before at other salons, for a lesser price, and I have had better experiences.
