I’m so grateful you’re exploring my treatments, and I truly hope you find something that resonates with you! Holistic Pause, a vision I penned down over 20 years ago, reflects my lifelong passion for understanding the incredible workings of our bodies. As a parent to a son who uses a wheelchair, I deeply appreciate how our bodies adapt and thrive, regardless of their form, and I believe they should always be cherished!
I chose the name "holistic" because it reminds me of what’s often overlooked in our fast-paced world—our bodies are wise and keep the score of our experiences (if you haven’t yet, check out the insightful book by Bessel van der Kolk!). When I welcome both new and returning clients, my aim is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where I genuinely listen to your needs. By working intuitively, I offer nurturing treatments that help restore balance and wellness.
Currently, I’m in my final year of training as a counsellor, and this journey has deepened my understanding of the beautiful connection between our minds and bodies. It’s essential to incorporate self-care into our hectic lives and to pass this wisdom on to our children. Learning to pause is not only okay—it's vital! When we listen to our minds and bodies, we can identify important changes that lead to a more fulfilling and enriching life.
My journey began over two decades ago at Aylesbury College, and I recently retrained at Regent’s Park College in 2023. I’ve also had the pleasure of learning from Kelly at Gateway for additional training, including completing the Butterfly Therapies course for oncology.
Looking ahead, I’m excited to pursue training as a Somatic Breath Coach. This approach beautifully integrates mind and body for internal healing, alongside my counselling work with bereaved families and young people. I can’t wait to see what the future holds, and I’m thrilled to share this journey with you!
