wasn't overly impressed with the facial - with a half an hour "express facial" I wasn't expecting luxury, but after a cleanse and exfoliate (both removed with freezing cold water) I had a mask applied and then taken off immediately and told I was finished! think the whole thing lasted between 15-20 minutes and wasn't very enjoyable.

other than that the stay was really nice; the pool and Jacuzzi were lovely and the dinner was nice if the menu was a bit limited.

Firstly the Hotel would not recognise the Lastminute.com deal.
Secondly a member of staff dropped half my friend's food on the floor, they did not apologise or replace it until she complained and then we were rudely offered a 10% discount.
Lastly the Chelsea Football team were celebrating on the Saturday evening and the Party room was under ours. We were not warned of this and at around 11.30 we had to ask to move rooms as the noise was keeping us awake.
It was suggested by myself that if there was to be late night partying, it went on until 12.30, then warn the guests who will be affected.
Other than that, the venue was lovely, the majority of staff very pleasant and we had a nice stay.
I am not sure I would go back.

We didn't have any treatment as we didn't book them in advance. Never mind. Hopefully next time it will work out better.

Unable to use spa as part of spa package because they were fully booked. Call as soon as you make booking. We made a lasting the booking and called but they were gone - perhaps there should not be the option to book if the treatments have already become unavailable? Received refun of £30 for both treatments.

We booked this "spa" break for my friend who was ill last year, thinking she deserved a bit of pampering. I should have known it was going to a nightmare when I called to double check we had adjoining rooms (there were four of us) and they only had one room booked for two even though the confirmation showed we'd already paid for four people. I also wanted to book more treatments but they were fully booked (only two beauty therapists) Check in was at 3pm and we arrived at 2:30pm. We got told our rooms weren't ready and to go to the bar and someone would come over and get us. By 3:30pm no one had, so I asked at reception and they had forgot about us! Our massages were booked in for 5pm so we obviously wanted to chill by the "pool" for a while so we were worried about timing. We get to our room and there are only robed/slippers in one room (even though we called in advance to check these would be included). I called down to reception numerous times, no answer so I had to walk to reception, wait for ages (there was a system update apparently so there was a queue). I eventually asked someone to send some robes to our rooms but 25 mins later they still hadn't been sent. Yet again I tried to call, yet again no answer. Yet again I walked to reception and this time spoke to the manager who offered us a complimentary bottle of prosecco. Once the robes were delivered to our room we didn't have much time to chill by the "pool". Now the pool was no bigger than the baby's pool in the local leisure centre! There were 2 sun lounges and 4 chairs with a lot of people so "chilling" was not going to happen! To even get the pool we had to walk past reception, the lounge bar and a dinner event in our robes and slippers which as you can imagine is just odd not to mention embarrassing! The rooms weren't very clean, the beds uncomfortable and squeaky and the duvet was more like sleeping under a flannel! Even though the Manager did try to placate us with a free bottle and some drinks vouchers, it did not make the experience any more enjoyable at all. Our relaxing weekend break turned into a break at Faulty Towers!! This hotel does NOT have "spa" facilities, it has a paddling pool with a room to do some beauty treatments (if you can book them!). This hotel is more like a hotel for business meetings and the "spa" was an afterthought. A very bad one. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for a relaxing retreat, I would book this hotel if I was away on business. Even then, I would think twice to be honest.
